Description

Buttery snowball cookies infused with mint and studded with chocolate chips, rolled in powdered sugar for a festive treat.


Ingredients

Units Scale

1 cup unsalted butter, softened.

2/3 cup powdered sugar, sifted.

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour.

1/2 teaspoon salt.

1 teaspoon mint extract.

Green food coloring (gel preferred).

3/4 cup mini chocolate chips.

Additional powdered sugar for coating.


Instructions

Line cookie sheet with parchment paper. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy.

Mix in flour, salt, and mint extract until combined. Add green coloring to desired shade. Stir in chocolate chips.

Form tablespoon-sized dough balls. Place on prepared sheet and chill 30 minutes.

Heat oven to 375°F. Bake 7-8 minutes until barely browned on bottom. Cool 5 minutes on sheet.

Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar. Once completely cool, roll again in fresh powdered sugar.
